The Havasupai Tribe is pleased to announce several exciting changes with its tourism operation. In addition to moving to a new tourism booking platform, for the 2026 season, tourists have the option of purchasing permits prior to February 1st. Early access to purchase permits for the campground and lodge will begin January 21, 2026 at 8:00 a.m. (Arizona time) and end January 31, 2026 at 5:00 p.m. (Arizona time). The Tribe is also now allowing partial refunds under a newly established cancellation policy. Both the early access and cancellation policies are briefly described below. More information will be available on the Havasupai Reservations website in the upcoming days. The previous “lottery” purchase option and “transfer board” have both been discontinued and are no longer in effect.

February 1st Details
In sticking with tradition, the regular on-sale date is February 1, 2026 beginning at 8:00 a.m. Arizona time. Pricing remains the same as last year. Campground permits are $455 per person for a 3-night reservation and lodge permits are $2,277 for a 3-night reservation (allows up to 4 people per reservation). Visit www.havasupaireservations.com to purchase your permits on the opening date.
Cancellation Policy
Cancellations must be initiated and completed through your online tourist account at least 90 days before the first day of your permit start date to receive a 50% refund of the permit fee (excludes early access fee). Any refund will be returned to the credit card on file that was used to make the original purchase.
Cancellations made within 90 days of the first day of your permit start date are not eligible for a refund. In those situations, the purchase price is non-refundable. However, we still kindly ask that you cancel your reservation online through your tourist account so that we may have notice that you will not be checking in for your reservation.
If you have more than one permit needing to be cancelled, each must be done individually in order to receive the partial refund.
Potential Alternative Trip Leader
The Havasupai Tribe strongly encourages the naming of a Potential Alternative Trip Leader (PATL) when making a reservation. PATLs can only be added at the time the reservation is made. Please note that the reservation holder IS NOT required to be there at check-in as long as one of the listed PATL checks in and presents proper identification.
Transfer/Resale Prohibition Policy
The Tribe strictly prohibits the resale or transfer of permits.
Thank you for your continued interest in experiencing the majestic waterfalls on the Havasupai Indian Reservation. We look forward to welcoming you to our beautiful homeland.
