Each reservation must have a unique trip leader. The PATL direct transfer process makes the reservation spots available to be purchased by a PATL designated at the time of the reservation, and you get funds back minus the 10% transfer fee.
If you are the trip leader (aka original reservation holder), follow these steps to transfer to PATL:
- Go to your reservation.
- Choose: How to transfer or cancel.
- Choose: transfer to PATL.
- Choose which PATL (if more than one).
- Choose the number of spots to transfer (should typically be all spots minus your own, unless the PATL plans to find someone else to buy that spot - all the other spots should already by allocated).
- Confirm.
- Give the PATL their unique transfer booking link, issued in their name. Note that the PATL must first have an account on www.HavasupaiReservations.com for Campground reservations or www.HavasupaiLodge.com for Lodge reservations in order to accept the transfer.
- The PATL can then purchase those reservation spots and will receive a new reservation number.
- You receive funds back minus the transfer fee.
The process works the same for campground reservations (www.HavasupaiReservations.com) as for Lodge reservations (www.HavasupaiLodge.com), except with the Lodge it's number of rooms that are transferable (max. 4 people to a room) and not individual campground spots.
