If you end up not being able to use your reservation, the transfer system is the easy and hassle-free way to safely, securely, and officially transfer away your reservation and have funds returned back to you.
- Log into your account and navigate to your reservation page.
- To transfer a Campground reservation, go to https://www.havasupaireservations.com/account/campground/list
- To transfer a Lodge reservation, go to https://www.havasupailodge.com/account/lodge/list
- Select the "View" button next to the reservation you wish to transfer.
- Select the "How to Transfer or Cancel" button.
- Review the terms and select the number of spots or rooms to transfer.
- Choose your desired transfer option: either post your transfer publicly on the official reservation Cancellation / Transfer List or initiate a direct transfer to a Potential Alternate Trip Leader.
- Note: If you choose the PATL option to transfer, you are responsible to get the PATL the unique transfer link issued in their name. Your PATL then can rebook the reservation (spots) over in their name which creates a new reservation. Once they have purchased the reservation, you are credited back what you paid minus the 10% transfer fee.
- Select the "Initiate Transfer" button.
Your reservation will remain valid and active, and the transfer will then be pending, unless you cancel the transfer or until someone purchases the reservation via the Transfer System. New transfers are posted each morning at 8 AM Arizona time on the public Cancellation / Transfer lists:

Reservation transfers can be purchased on a first come, first served basis. A transfer is completed when another person uses the Official Transfer System to pay for the reservation directly and, at that point, that reservation becomes a new official reservation in their name and account in the reservation system. There is a 10% transfer fee to the original reservation holder upon successfully transferring their reservation.
Things to keep in mind:
- The farther in advance of your arrival date that you make your transfer available, the more likely your transfer will be successfully completed.
- Transfers are unable to be initiated after 8:00 a.m. (Arizona time) on the day before the arrival date - and transfers are unable to be completed after 12:00 noon (Arizona time) on the day before the arrival date.
- If you did not add a Potential Alternate Trip Leader (PATL) to your reservation when you made it, your only option is to make your transfer available on the public official reservation Cancellation / Transfer List. Note that each reservation must have a unique trip leader.
- Note that if all your reservation rooms or spots are transferred away, you are responsible for cancelling any associated pack mule reservation(s) that you no longer need. Pack mule reservations are not transferable or refundable.
- Requests for, or offer of, any payment or exchange of value external to the Transfer System is not permitted.
- Reservation trades are not possible except for transfers to a PATL or via the Cancellations / Transfers list.
